ICT Support Specialist

As an ICT Support Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to employees across various departments. Your role will include the following tasks:
- Providing Technical Support: Assisting employees with IT-related issues to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Prioritizing Requests: Managing and prioritizing support requests based on urgency and importance, ensuring that all employees receive prompt and effective assistance.
- Resolving Hardware and Software Issues: Troubleshooting and resolving issues on laptops and mobile devices, including software installations, configuration, and hardware replacements.
- Configuring and Maintaining Peripherals: Setting up and managing printers and other peripheral devices.
- User Account Management: Managing user accounts and access permissions using Active Directory.
- Network Maintenance: Monitoring and maintaining computer networks and systems, addressing connectivity issues, and resolving network-related problems.
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of IT equipment, handling disposal, and coordinating replacements as necessary.
- Ticket Management: Managing and resolving incidents and requests through the ServiceNow ticketing system, ensuring issues are documented and resolved within agreed time frames.
- System Updates and Maintenance: Ensuring IT systems and equipment are maintained and updated according to best practices.
- On-Site Support: Availability to travel as needed to provide on-site technical support.
To succeed in this role, you should have a solid understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software. You should be comfortable solving problems, able to stay calm under pressure, and work well in a fast-paced environment. Communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including staff and external vendors, are essential.
Requirements:
Experience Required:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Languages:
- Proficient in English.
- Proficient in French.
- Additional languages are a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Office 365, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and cloud-based services like SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Zoom.
- Good MAC support skills.
- Familiarity with videoconference tools and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows 11 operating system.
- Experience with Intune and Airwatch for device management and security.
- Background in IT service management.
Soft Skills:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Other Requirements:
- Residency in Switzerland or eligibility for a Swiss work permit.
